HENDERSON, Ky. - The Parenting Time Center is revving up for its annual Miles for Moments Poker Run, scheduled for July 25. The event will kick off at Evansville Harley-Davidson, inviting motorcycle riders and classic car enthusiasts to hit the road for a cause.
Participants will follow a designated route, stopping at various checkpoints to draw playing cards. The best poker hand at the end of the ride wins a prize. The event is designed to raise funds and awareness for the Parenting Time Center, a nonprofit that provides a safe, neutral space for supervised visits and exchanges between children and non-custodial parents.
The executive director of the Parenting Time Center emphasized that the funds go directly toward keeping the center operational and accessible for families in need. The organization serves dozens of families each year, offering a structured environment where parents can maintain healthy relationships with their children.
Registration for the poker run opens at 9 a.m. on the day of the event, with the last bike or car leaving by 11 a.m. The entry fee covers the rider and one passenger, with additional hands available for purchase. Food, music, and raffle prizes will follow the ride back to the starting location. Organizers encourage early sign-ups and note that all vehicles are welcome.
