A Unique Parenting Insight from My Seventh Child

Parenting can often feel like an endless journey of learning, especially when you have a large family. With my first child arriving in the spring of 1995 and my seventh born at the end of summer in 2014, I’ve experienced the joys and challenges of raising children over two decades. Recently, I found myself reflecting on the vast differences in parenting styles and techniques that have emerged over the years.

Just yesterday morning, my second-to-last child shared a surprising insight in the kitchen that caught me off guard. It was a simple yet profound observation about sibling dynamics and the importance of communication. This moment reminded me how each child brings their unique perspective to the family, enriching our collective experience.

As parents, we often think we have all the answers, but sometimes it’s our children who teach us the most valuable lessons. Embracing these moments can transform our approach to parenting and strengthen the bonds within our family.
