Exactly fifty years after the Rebbe first introduced the 12 Pesukim on Lag BaOmer 5736, Chabad.org's ChabadU is launching a new course designed to bring that Torah wisdom directly to Jewish parents. The program, structured around the twelve biblical verses the Rebbe selected for children to memorize, aims to transform simple scriptural study into a practical parenting framework.
Each session focuses on one of the Pesukim, unpacking its deeper meaning and showing how it can guide everyday decisions at home. Rather than offering generic advice, the course draws directly from the Rebbe's teachings, encouraging parents to see these verses not just as memory work but as a living blueprint for raising children with purpose and connection.
The timing is deliberate. Lag BaOmer 5776 marks a half-century since the Rebbe stood before a crowd and recited those twelve lines, urging families to make them a daily practice. Now, ChabadU hopes to revive that call for a new generation. The course is open to all, with no prior background required, and is available online through the ChabadU platform. It promises to be a resource for parents seeking grounded, Torah-based guidance in a world that often feels overwhelming.
