Meta has finalized a deal with a bipartisan coalition of 52 attorneys general representing U.S. states, territories, and Washington, D.C. The agreement introduces a broad set of new protections aimed at users under the age of 18 on both Instagram and Facebook. A judge has approved the settlement, and the majority of its terms must stay in effect for a decade.

The changes are meant to address growing concerns about how social platforms affect minors.
