Milo Ventimiglia is opening up about what it means to become a father later in life, saying the timing has worked in his favor. The actor, best known for his role on This Is Us, now shares two children with his wife Jarah Mariano, and he describes the experience as grounding in ways he did not expect.
Ventimiglia explained that waiting until his forties gave him a sense of perspective he might not have had earlier. He said he spent his younger years focused on work and figuring out who he was, and that arriving at fatherhood with more patience has made him a calmer parent. He also noted that the long hours and emotional storylines of his television career taught him how to stay present, a skill he now leans on at home.
The actor has also been thinking about his children's future, which led him to partner with financial services firm Edward Jones. He said the collaboration is about planning ahead and making sure his family is protected, adding that becoming a dad pushed him to take those steps more seriously. He described the partnership as a practical way to model responsibility for his kids.
Ventimiglia said he is enjoying the small, ordinary moments of family life and is in no rush to chase the same pace he kept in his twenties. For him, fatherhood came at the right time, and he would not trade the road that brought him there.
