Parenting Communities hosts fifth annual Street Fair for Leelanau Families

Parenting Communities is set to host its fifth annual Family Street Fair on Saturday, June 20, running from 10 am to 2 pm. The event will take place on the grounds of the Leelanau Montessori Public School Academy campus in Lake Leelanau. Organizers say the free community gathering is designed to bring local families together for a day of fun, connection, and outdoor activities.

The street fair will feature a variety of attractions for children and adults alike. Families can expect bounce houses, face painting, and interactive games spread across the campus. Local food vendors will be on hand, offering a selection of snacks and meals. Parenting Communities has also arranged for resource tables where parents can learn about early childhood programs, health services, and other family support options available in the region.

This year's fair marks a milestone for the organization, which started the event five years ago as a small neighborhood gathering. It has since grown into a staple of the summer calendar for many Leelanau County families. The focus remains on creating a safe, welcoming space where parents can relax while kids play. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the day. Rain or shine, the event will proceed as planned, with indoor options available if needed.
